About

Established in 2002 when the Bressert Family moved to Arlington, Texas,

“Joy Strings” has provided violin lessons and performance opportunities for

hundreds of children through the teaching of Anne Bressert.

From early elementary through college, Anne studied traditional classical violin studies, and began teaching part time while attending college.  Over the years Anne has performed in local community orchestras and ensembles, and after moving to Texas,  took fiddle lessons and added backyard country bands to her performance list. In 2000 Anne was introduced to the Suzuki Method of teaching the violin at Texas Christian University and fell in love with it.  She eventually gave up her job as an elementary Music Teacher and began teaching the violin full time.

Today, Anne combines her classical upbringing, the Suzuki classes she took at TCU, years of fiddle lessons, and her love of teaching elementary music, to create her own unique approach to teaching the violin.
